AUSTIN, Texas — Hook ‘em! According to StubHub’s 2024 annual College Football Preview, the Texas Longhorns are the second highest in-demand team on the website.
The Longhorns are also a state favorite, having sold more tickets than the Texas A&M Aggies in Texas.
The only team with more ticket sales than the Longhorns for the 2024 season has been the Michigan Wolverines.
The Longhorns also secured a spot on StubHub’s Top 10 Trending Teams list at No. 4, based on the rate of increase in ticket sales compared to last year. That’s six positions higher than the Texas A&M Aggies.
Texas sales are up five times compared to this time last year after moving from the Big 12 to the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Meanwhile, Aggies' sales are up four times compared to this time last year, boosted by hosting the renewed rivalry with the Longhorns.
The Texas and Texas A&M matchup is the fifth-most in-demand college football game on StubHub, even though it’s later in the season on Nov. 30, the website said.
"This year marks an exciting new era in college football with conference realignment and an expanded college playoff landscape sure to bring more high-stakes, late-season matchups," said Adam Budelli, spokesperson for StubHub.
The Longhorns’ game against the Georgia Bulldogs on Oct. 19 is currently the top-selling home game of the entire season. Tickets for the game are being sold starting at $375 and go up to just under $10,000 for seats in the Touchdown Club at Darrell K. Royal Stadium.
The SEC leads as the top-selling conference on StubHub. The demand is largely driven by the conference’s teams that have claimed a spot on the Top 10 In-Demand list, including the Georgia Bulldogs, the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Texas A&M Aggies and the Longhorns.
