HOUSTON — The athletics directors for the University of Texas at Austin and Texas A&M University made an announcement Thursday morning related to the renewed rivalry between the Longhorns and the Aggies.
With the Longhorns' move to the Southeastern Conference (SEC) this season, the two teams will face each other on a football field for the first time in 12 years this fall.
UT Athletic Director Chris Del Conte and A&M Athletic Director Trev Alberts made the announcement Thursday morning that the "Lone Star Showdown" game will be sponsored by Cotton Holdings.
Texas and A&M are scheduled to face off on Nov. 30 at Kyle Field in College Station.
