NORMAN, Okla. — Editor's note: The video published above reports the groundbreaking of the new Moody Center.
Something has happened to Texas Longhorns basketball as of late.
Up 51-49 with 6.1 seconds left, Oklahoma's Kristian Doolittle was at the free throw line to potentially extend the lead to three. Instead, Doolittle missed the free throw, UT got the rebound, Matt Coleman drove the length of the court, threw up a 3-pointer on the run and banked it in off the glass to win the game.
The Longhorns bench erupted. UT stole another game on the road, this time against the Sooners, 52-51. The win comes after Texas has upset both a ranked West Virginia team and a ranked Texas Tech team. UT, whose NCAA tournament probability was little to nothing in February, has surged back into the conversation as a bubble team.
The Longhorns have answered a four-game losing streak with a five-game winning streak and have one game left to play before the Big 12 conference tournament begins.
Coleman finished the game with a team-high 21 points on 9-for-15 shooting, including 3-for-5 from downtown.
Texas will finish its season at home against the Oklahoma State Cowboys on March 7.
