DALLAS — The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are holding a nationwide search for members of their 2024 squad, the team announced Wednesday.
The audition announcement comes weeks after Netflix said the 2023-24 squad was the subject of its latest series, "America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders," which premieres this summer. The series will be seven 45-minute episodes. A premiere date hasn't been announced yet.
The first step for those wishing to don the iconic Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders uniform will be to fill out an application which will include submitting a photo and a 60 second dance video. Online applications are now open at www.dallascowboyscheerleaders.com through May 12.
Candidates advancing to the final round will receive an invitation to compete at The Star in Frisco on June 15, the team said in a release.
“Our audition process helps us find 36 world class performers and goodwill ambassadors for the Dallas Cowboys,” said Kelli Finglass, Director of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. “Through our new online submission portal, it allows us to expand our search and makes it more accessible than ever for dancers worldwide. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for them to perform as dancers on a global stage.”
The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders not only perform for more than 90,000 fans at all Cowboys home games in AT&T Stadium, but regularly perform around the world on USO Tours for American military personnel and their families.
