Shelter in Shape with Jake: Longest Mile

The Longest Mile is a track-based workout that breaks up four laps with four different exercises.

AUSTIN, Texas —

After a two-day break, Shelter in Shape is back, this time on a track.

Wednesday's workout is called "Longest Mile," a mile-long run that is broken up by four exercises every 400 meters.

Start off by doing 10 burpees, 10 squats, 10 push-ups and 10 sit-ups. Then, run a lap. Repeat that sequence four times and see how fast you can do it.

Think you can beat Jake?

His time was 14 minutes, 37 seconds.

Today, we also highlight the at-home workouts from the rest of the KVUE crew. Consider it training ideas that are free from your local ABC.

Send in the at-home or socially distant workouts you're doing and your submission could be included in the next episode.

The rules are simple: Any athletic activity is accepted.

Submissions are open to the Austin area and beyond.

Email your workout videos to jgarcia@kvue.com or send them to @Jake_M_Garcia on Twitter or @jakegarciakvue on Instagram.
