AUSTIN, Texas — The LSU Tigers nabbed a big-time offensive lineman from Central Texas during National Signing Day.
San Marcos High School senior Ory Williams signed with the Tigers on Wednesday during a ceremony on campus.
Williams, a 3-star prospect, reportedly had offers from multiple Power 5 programs, including Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Oregon, Texas and USC, before picking LSU.

“I’m going to celebrate this for years to come,” Williams said. “It’s been a dream of mine to sign with LSU, let alone play college ball, and get to play in the SEC. From now on, it’s just a long road of hard work. It feels great, but it’s time for the next chapter, time to turn that page.”
Williams was ranked as one of the best players in the state after only playing two seasons of varsity football for the Rattlers. He was also a standout on the basketball team.
“It feels good to put on for my city and represent San Marcos in a good way," Williams said. "It’s been a dream.”
LSU signed a total of 27 commits during signing day.
