But, Texas A&M Athletic Director Scott Woodward decided to not accept an offer from Texas Athletic Director Chris Del Conte for a home-and-home series in 2022 and 2023.

“Chris Del Conte did reach out to discuss potential dates to consider with A&M and it didn’t work out," the school told KVUE. "That wound up being the years we agreed to a home and home with Alabama after A&M wasn’t available.”

A&M has Miami on their future schedules for those two years. Texas was supposed to play Ohio State, but when those games had to be moved, Del Conte opted for games with Alabama.
