Longhorns senior tight end Andrew Beck is going back to the site of his first career college touchdown.
Beck scored late against Oklahoma State in the loss in 2016 and knows how crazy it can be in Stillwater.
“It is an exciting place to go play, especially a night game up there,” he said. “It’s always rocking.”
The former linebacker has now found a home as a tight end in Tom Herman’s offense, catching 15 passes so far this season after having only 12 in his first three seasons combines. But Beck takes more pride in the blocking he does to help the offense.

“I pride myself on being with the big guys up front,” said Beck. “And kind of focusing on the run game and making sure that does well. And I think we’ve done all right there.”
Things haven’t been perfect for Beck, even during the bye week. He’s been fighting a case of strep throat.
“I was not out at practice on Sunday,” said Beck. “I was quarantined.”
But he’s back working out again and said his team isn’t ready to rest after six straight wins.
“We’ve done a good job of reminding ourselves we need to work and things aren’t going to just be handed to us.”
Texas and Oklahoma State play at 7 p.m. in Stillwater. The game will be televised on KVUE.
