Mobile food ordering app 'Grab' lands at ABIA

AUSTIN – Travelers flying in and out of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport have a new way to get food before or after a flight with a new mobile ordering service.

Grab, which is free to download, initially debuted in December and allows travelers order from 12 ABIA restaurants. The airport said mobile ordering is now available at the following locations:

  • Annie's Café
  • Austin Java Café
  • Earl Campbell's Sports Bar
  • Hill's Café
  • Hoover's Cooking
  • Maudies Tex-Mex
  • Nuevo León Mexican Restaurant
  • Ray Benson's Chuck Wagon
  • Saxon Pub
  • Salt Lick Taco Bar
  • Schlotzsky's / Cinnabon
  • The Salt Lick Bar-B-Que

Grab partnered with Delaware North for their launch, and said their on-demand mobile ordering platform will be expanding to other airports in the near future. Currently it is only available at Austin and Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta.

The City of Austin said in the release that customers who use the app at ABIA through Jan. 26 will get 50 percent off their order with the promo code AUSTIN.
