AUSTIN, Texas — One person is dead and another is injured after a reported crash between a vehicle and two pedestrians in the Tarrytown neighborhood of West Austin.
According to the Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS), the crash happened just after 9 a.m. Thursday in the 2500 block of Hillview Road, a residential street located about a block away from the Howson branch of the Austin Public Library.
ATCEMS and the Austin Fire Department arrived on scene and declared two adults as "trauma patients." CPR was performed on one of the victims.
In a final update Thursday morning, ATCEMS said one of the adults died at the scene while the other was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with possibly serious injuries.
Police said the driver did stay on the scene.
