18-wheeler crashes, catches on fire in Kyle, shutting down part of I-35 North

As of 5 a.m., police are still trying to figure out if anyone is hurt.

KYLE, Texas — A fiery crash shut down Interstate 35 North in Kyle Wednesday morning. As of 6:20 a.m., two lanes remain blocked.

The Kyle Police Department got a call for help just before 2:30 a.m. on Interstate 35, north of FM 150. Police said an 18-wheeler carrying refrigerators caught on fire.

As of 5 a.m., police are still trying to figure out what caused the crash and if anyone is hurt.
