1 dead after fiery crash near Austin airport

AUSTIN, Texas — One person is dead and another person is injured after a fiery crash near the Austin airport Tuesday morning.

According to Austin-Travis County EMS, when first responders arrived, they found one vehicle on fire and another vehicle crashed into a building. The crash happened in the 9100 block of US 183. That's at McKenzie Road, south of the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. 

One person died at the scene of the crash, which happened at around 6:35 a.m. Another person was taken to the hospital with potentially serious injuries.

It's unclear which building the car crashed into. There are only a few businesses in the area.

First responders say drivers should expect continued traffic delays and closures in the area.
