AUSTIN, Texas — A heads up for drivers looking to get around Austin on I-35 this weekend.
TxDOT wants drivers to be prepared for more delays than usual thanks to multiple lanes of the interstate being closed.
Closures began at 9 p.m. Friday and are expected to last no later than Monday at 5 a.m.
Here are the areas TxDOT says drivers should avoid:
- Williams Drive bridge at I-35
- Both I-35 frontage roads at McNeil Road
- Southbound lanes of I-35 at Rundberg Lane
- SH 123 at I-35 intersection
TxDOT is asking drivers to be patient when traveling through 'work zones' this weekend.
