AUSTIN, Texas — Austin's Transportation Department is trying to make it easier for Austinites to find eco-friendly travel options through their new website, Get There ATX.
The website features a variety of suggestions for commuters, students, employers, schools, special events and visitors.
The City's goal is to cut the number of people who drive alone in their cars in half.
"Currently, 74% of all work trips in Austin consist of one person driving alone in their personal vehicle," the website states. "A 50/50 mode share goal challenges half of our population to use sustainable transportation options in order to manage congestion as our community grows."
