Eastbound lanes of Bee Caves Road near Walsh Tarlton Lane closed after crash

Austin-Travis County said a person was hit by a car early Friday morning.

AUSTIN, Texas — All eastbound lanes of Bee Caves Road near Walsh Tarlton Lane are closed Friday morning following a crash. Westbound lanes remain open as of 6 a.m.

Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) said around 5:15 a.m. that medics were responding to a report that a pedestrian had been hit by a car. By 5:23 a.m., ATCEMS said medics and Austin Fire Department personnel confirmed that CPR was in progress on the patient.

Just before 6 a.m., ATCEMS said the patient's pulse had returned and they were transported to St. David's South with critical, life-threatening injuries.

ATCEMS said drivers should expect delays as the road closures continue and should avoid the area if possible.
