Crash involving CapMetro bus in Downtown Austin injures several people

A jeep crashed into a car and a bus on East 13th St. and San Jacinto Boulevard.

AUSTIN, Texas — Four people are in the hospital recovering from non-life threatening injuries after a jeep hit a car, then collided with a Capital Metro bus around 11:30 p.m. in Downtown Austin. 

The three-vehicle crash happened on East 15th Street and San Jacinto Boulevard Thursday night. Austin Fire crews say the accident happened at the stoplight. The crash was close to the grounds of the Texas State Capitol building in Downtown Austin.

Six people were in the jeep and four of those passengers went to the hospital for treatment. The bus driver and the two people in the other car were not transported to the hospital. The crash did not cause any traffic delays into the morning.
