Highway 620 at Mansfield Dam back open after LCRA finishes work

Drivers who take the road are in the clear after crews closed the roadway intermittently.

AUSTIN, Texas — Crews with the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) have finished their work and no longer need to close Highway 620 at Mansfield Dam Monday.

Both directions of Highway 620 were closed from 9 a.m. until about 11:30 a.m., according to the Lake Travis Fire Fighters Association.

The closure was approved for the LCRA by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and was coordinated with the Texas Department of Transportation to allow the LCRA to complete needed updates to the Mansfield Dam power station, placing new overhead powerlines by helicopter across RR 620.
