Martin Road at US 290 West in Dripping Springs will be closed for about 8 months

The closure is in effect so that TxDOT crews can make improvements to the intersection.

DRIPPING SPRINGS, Texas — A heads up for drivers going through Dripping Springs: Starting on Monday, Nov. 8, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is closing Martin Road at US 290 West.

The road will be closed for approximately eight months so TxDOT crews can make improvements to the intersection.

Drivers will use McGregor Lane as a detour to get around the construction.

This isn't the only lengthy road closure Central Texas drivers need to know about starting Monday.

Part of Hairy Man Road, from Sam Bass Road to Great Oaks Drive in Round Rock, will be closed starting Monday, Nov. 8, until approximately August 2022, according to Williamson County. Additionally, Brushy Creek Regional Trail in the project area will also be closed starting Nov. 9 for pedestrian and bicycle safety.
