AUSTIN, Texas — As American Airlines continues to grow at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), it's now gearing up for two new tropical destinations just in time for summer.
Starting on June 11, American will launch service from AUS to Cozumel, Mexico (CZM), and Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ). The new flights mark the company's seventh and eighth international routes offered from Austin.
“We’re proud to strengthen our commitment to Austin by providing local customers more options to fly nonstop to popular destinations,” said Brian Znotins, American Airlines vice president of network planning. “Whether it’s to the beaches of Cozumel and Montego Bay, or the dozens of other destinations we offer from Austin, we look forward to further connecting Central Texans to our global network.”
Since the beginning of last year, the new flights also mark the 31st and 32nd to be added to American's network from Austin. With CZM and MBJ, American now serves a total of 40 destinations from Austin.
“As we see Central Texas travelers returning to the skies, the announcement of new service to two fantastic leisure destinations is perfectly timed for those starting to think about their summer travel plans,” said Jacqueline Yaft, CEO for AUS. “Today’s news shows the continued strength of the Austin market, and we welcome American’s decision to bring even more air service options to AUS.”

- Outbound flight departs AUS at 9:20 a.m. and arrives at CZM at 11:50 a.m.
- Inbound flight departs CZM at 12:30 p.m. and arrives at AUS at 3:20 p.m.
