Austin airport posts survey to help improve travel experience

Through the survey, the Austin airport will create different profiles that will help capture the life of a typical traveler.

AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) wants to hear from its passengers as the airport aims to make improvements.

The airport is inviting travelers to participate in a survey that will help with the expansion and future projects at the airport. Through the survey, the airport will create different profiles that will help capture the life of a typical Austin traveler.

"We are committed to delivering an exceptional experience for every traveler, whether they are departing, arriving or connecting through AUS," said Ghizlane Badawi, chief experience and performance officer. "Our goal is to prioritize passenger safety while creating experiences that foster comfort, excitement and confidence throughout their journey."

One area the survey will focus on is the midfield concourse project through the Journey With AUS airport expansion and development program. This project will help "support the rapidly growing airline activity and passenger volume growth," according to the airport. The project will be connected to the Barbara Jordan Terminal with an underground tunnel and will be built in the middle of the current airfield. Currently, the project is still in the development phase.

The survey is available in person throughout the Barbara Jordan Terminal on Wednesdays and Thursdays during most daytime travel hours. If you aren't heading to the airport on those days but want to participate, you can do so online. The online survey is available through July 7 and takes 10 minutes.
