AUSTIN, Texas — It was a toasty Weekend 1 of the Austin City Limits Music Festival (ACL), and we're tracking the likelihood for more of the same as we head into Weekend 2.
This is because an area of high pressure over Central Texas brought in drier conditions and hotter temperatures which got to the lower to mid-90s during the week. This eventually led to highs reaching the mid-90s Thursday through Saturday, with the hottest afternoon on Sunday. Remember to stay hydrated while you're out and about.
ACL Weekend 2 allergies
Dust and allergies could become an issue again for the second weekend of the festival, similar to what many dealt with during Weekend 1. As far as allergens are concerned, we're looking at ragweed, grass and mold, with Alternaria the main pollens and fall elm also a possible issue. A key tip to avoid those effects is to wear a damp bandana over your nose and mouth to block any potential allergens.
