After a few overnight downpours, Tuesday will stay damp and chilly all day.
A northerly breeze, consistent cloud cover, and scattered rain will keep temperatures in the 40s. Most locations will struggle to get out of the mid-40s.
Scattered rain will continue into the overnight hours.
Tuesday night and Wednesday morning will feature another round of widespread rain and storms as a second cold front moves through the area.
The highest rain chances will be mainly prior to lunchtime on Wednesday, and then as the cold front clears the area drier air will finally return to Central Texas. Afternoon highs on Wednesday will top out around 60 degrees.
Rainfall amounts close to two inches will be possible over the day, with isolated locations seeing as much as three inches Monday through Wednesday.
