AUSTIN, Texas — The last two days of February brought a sudden return to winter, but we're now looking ahead to a big rebound in temperatures for this weekend.
Saturday and Sunday will trend even warmer than Friday, with highs around 80 in the forecast for both days. Sunday morning will start with low clouds and fog, but the afternoon will be sunny and very nice.
Sunday will bring a partly to mostly cloudy sky but should still be completely dry.

The first half of next week, we continue to run warmer than average, but we will also return to a slightly more active weather pattern with a few opportunities for rain and storms.
The first rain and storm chance will be Monday afternoon and Monday evening. We'll have to see how all of the ingredients come together, but it's even possible that a few of the storms could be strong to severe.
Rain chances trend lower for Tuesday, but then increase again Wednesday and Thursday.
The KVUE Weather Team will continue to closely monitor this developing forecast.
