A cold front pushed through Central Texas Saturday night into Sunday morning. This created scattered showers and isolated storms for areas to the south.
Cloud cover will be stubborn early in the day Sunday, especially south and east of Austin, but most should see the return of sunshine by the afternoon.
It will be cooler with windy conditions on Sunday, with highs in the 70s and wind gusts up to 45 mph possible.
Monday will begin another warming trend with mid- to upper 70s and sunshine. Tuesday will briefly return to the 80s prior to another cold front around the middle of the week.
This second cold front will move through on Wednesday, but will only bring about a 20% chance of showers and storms. Behind the front, we look cooler for the second half of the week with morning lows in the 40s and afternoon highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.
Rainfall totals continue to look minimal over the next seven days for the majority of the KVUE area. The highest totals will likely be east of the Interstate 35 corridor, but the Weather Prediction Center calls for less than a quarter-inch of rainfall for these areas.
The KVUE Weather Team will keep a close eye on this developing forecast.
In the meantime, the extended forecast can be found below:
