AUSTIN, Texas — We hope your Saturday is going well!
We're tracking warmer temperatures for your Saturday night plans, with lows only dropping to the upper 50s for most of us, as opposed to the 40s and 30s we've had over the past few mornings. However, the tradeoff with the not-as-chilly temperatures is that we'll be much warmer later in the day, with highs in the 80s as southerly flow comes in, bringing moist air with it, so cloud cover is expected to increase as a result. This pattern continues for Monday, but then, changes come in for the temperature rollercoaster's first drop.
We'll have an Arctic cold front that'll come in Monday night into Tuesday which will really cool us down to the upper 40s for lows Tuesday morning, and highs in the upper 60s, which could be 20 degrees cooler than the day before. Southerly flow resumes Wednesday before that second front comes in.
With this front, we're tracking highs on Thanksgiving in the morning hours getting to the upper-60s before falling through the day Thursday, and lows Friday morning are slated to drop into the mid-40s with some areas getting down into the 30s for Black Friday shopping.
