AUSTIN, Texas — Thursday morning brought our coldest weather so far of the season with some locations even picking up their first freeze! Friday morning will still be chilly, but not quite as cold as Thursday morning. We expect low temperatures to range from upper 30s to mid 40s. Everybody should stay above freezing, but there could be some more patchy frost for parts of the Hill Country.
Friday afternoon will be sensational with sunshine and high temperatures in the mid 70s. Saturday morning will start in the 40s, and then warm into the mid and upper 70s for the afternoon.
Our weather turns more active again for the week of Thanksgiving. A weak cold front on Monday won't do much except bring a small cool down on Tuesday. However, a stronger cold front could move through on Thanksgiving Day. We don't have rain in the forecast, but it could turn windy and cooler for the second half of the day on Thanksgiving. Then temperatures trend much colder following Thanksgiving with highs likely dropping to the 60s with mornings in the 30s and 40s.
