AUSTIN, Texas — Good Sunday morning!
We're tracking a few scattered showers to start your Sunday morning off with mostly cloudy skies and temps starting in the 60s before highs get to the mid-70s with mostly cloudy skies and an isolated shower or two. While we did get close to 80 at Camp Mabry Saturday and we did reach that benchmark at the airport, we did not break a daily heat record and we don't expect to be as warm due to the added cloud cover.
While we're tracking a 20% shower chance for the afternoon, our better storm chances would be Monday, especially late, with a 40% chance ahead of a weak front that'll bring in temps that won't really change for then. However, we're also tracking a second, stronger cold front that'll move in midday Wednesday that'll limit our highs then to the 60s with another good storm chance at 40%.
We're watching Thursday morning behind the front closely as patchy frost would be possible in spots with lows in the lower 40s and maybe even mid-30s for lows in outlying areas.
For now, UT's home playoff football game looks mainly sunny with mid-60s for highs.
