Back in May, the National Weather Service said it was presented to the State Climate Extreme Committee for consideration if any records were broken.

The April 28 Hondo storm caused damage to some buildings, power outages and some street flooding. It also produced a tornado which touched down near Hondo. According to the National Weather Service, hail over two inches in diameter stretched from the Rio Grande to San Marcos in this same storm.
