Sunny and dry Thursday expected in Austin area after storms

Rain chances are coming to an end overnight in Austin.

CENTRAL TEXAS — The Pacific Cold Front has pushed through most of the area, filtering in a cooler airmass. Showers and thunderstorms moved east and out of the area overnight.

A Flash Flood Warning was in effect for portions of Travis, Williamson and Hays counties until 3:30 a.m.

A Flood Advisory was issued for Fayette County until 4:30 a.m. KVUE's Erika Lopez said up to 2 inches of rain had fallen in that area as ongoing storms produce heavy rain.
