AUSTIN, Texas — Editor's note: This blog is no longer updating. KVUE's latest blog about a return of fall weather to Central Texas can be found here.
Monday morning may have been especially hard to sleep through for light sleepers around Central Texas.
A cold front barrelled through Central Texas – bringing not only cooler temperatures – but some strong storms as well.
Storms rolled into the Hill Country just before sunrise.
Around Austin, we'll, unfortunately, expect the heaviest around rush hour traffic.
Soon after that, our eastern counties should get in on some of the heavy rain.
By late morning, and certainly the afternoon, we'll see the rain move out and clearing skies. Some sunshine is even expected by afternoon's end.
We're not expecting drought busting rainfall by any means, however, at this point we'll take what we can get. Most places will likely see a half inch of rain or less.
Stay up to date with KVUE for the latest forecast.
