Friday morning's allergy count brings no relief to those who are allergic to oak pollen. As a matter of fact, it was the highest count we have seen so far this season.
The high pollen count streak will come to an end this weekend, however. The latest oak pollen forecast shows that the oak pollen count will be low Saturday and Sunday before the count increases Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday should see high oak pollen counts.
What brings relief from the high pollen count? The next system, which is likely to bring showers and springtime storms to Central Texas this weekend.
Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible, especially Saturday morning. A good downpour will help suppress the oak pollen.
This system is still several days out, so make sure to keep with KVUE for updates on the forecast as we get closer to the weekend.
