AUSTIN, Texas — A brand new Cirque du Soleil show is coming to Austin!

Fresh off bringing its first ice show to Cedar Park, a new country-themed show is coming to the Bass Concert Hall at the University of Texas at Austin.

Songblazers features a collaboration with Sam Williams, who is the grandson of pioneer Hank Williams and the son of legendary singer-songwriter Hank Williams, Jr. The show features two main characters forging their path to recognition while paying tribute to legendary and modern country music trailblazers.

It premiered last month in Nashville, Tennessee, as part of a multi-city tour that includes Central Texas. The show features 29 artists and 21 crew members from 13 countries communicating in more than 10 languages.

You can catch the breathtaking aerial show enhanced with country tunes beginning Wednesday, Aug. 14, through Sunday, Aug. 18. You can purchase tickets to one of their eight shows through the Texas Performing Arts website. Special offers are also available for groups of 10 or more.

Songblazers is the Cirque du Soleil's sixth trip to Austin and its 17th appearance in the area following CRYSTAL's premiere in Cedar Park.
