Here’s a breakdown of just some of the events you can attend this weekend.

AUSTIN, Texas — The weekend is upon us and, as always, there are a ton of things going on in the Austin area! From a celebration of country music to an homage to Hitchcock, there's no shortage of fun activities happening over the next few days.

Here’s a breakdown of just some of the events you can attend this weekend.

Cirque Du Soleil Songblazers - A Journey Into Country Music

Cirque Du Soleil has brought its new country-themed show to the Bass Concert Hall.

"Songblazers" features a collaboration with Sam Williams, the grandson of Hank Williams and the son of Hank Williams, Jr. The show features two main characters forging their path to recognition while paying tribute to legendary and modern country music trailblazers through acrobatics and aerial acts.

When and where: through Sunday at the Bass Concert Hall

Hitchcock Week at the Paramount

While we've mentioned the Summer Classic Film Series a few times over the past few weekends, Saturday and Sunday mark the end of a special part of the annual event: Hitchcock Week, presented in collaboration with Fangoria.

On Friday night, the Paramount will be screening a double-feature of "Dial M for Murder" and "Rope." Then on Sunday, suspense fans can catch a double-feature of "The Man Who Knew Too Much" and "North By Northwest."

Lagers & Literature

Buy books, drink beer: that's the idea behind Meanwhile Brewing's third-annual Lagers & Literature Book Fair.

Local authors, independent bookstores and book makers will be on-site, plus there will be button-making with Thinkery, zine making with Lone Star Zine Fest, screen printing by Feels So Good and more. One dollar from every Meanwhile Pilsner sold will go to the Inside Books Project.

When and where: Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Meanwhile Brewing
