AUSTIN, Texas — The weekend is upon us and, as always, there are a ton of things going on in the Austin area! From college football to Labor Day parties, there's no shortage of fun activities happening over the next few days.
Here’s a breakdown of just some of the events you can attend this weekend.
Texas Football vs. Colorado State
It's that time again, football fans: the Texas Longhorns will take on the Colorado State Rams in their first game of the season – and their first game as part of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) – on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Darrel K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
As always, there's also tons of around-the-game fun planned, including a Longhorn City Limits performance by Midland.
And don't think we forgot about the Bobcats! Texas State will also play their first game of the season Saturday at 7 p.m. against Lamar at UFCU Stadium.
Dive-In Flicks: "Dazed & Confused"
The characters of "Dazed & Confused" aren't in a hurry to do much of anything, and the events of the film play out with the energy a lazy river. What better way to take that in than while floating in a pool?
This Friday, Hotel Magdalena will be screening the Austin classic, transforming its pool into an open-air theater. The movie begins at dusk.
