AUSTIN, Texas — The weekend is upon us and, as always, there are a ton of things going on in the Austin area! From football to free admission to museums, there's no shortage of fun activities happening over the next few days.
Here’s a breakdown of just some of the events you can attend this weekend.
Texas Football vs. ULM
The Longhorns have another home game this weekend, this time against the University of Louisiana Monroe. With QB 1 Quinn Ewers still out with an injury, second-year freshman Arch Manning will start.
This will be the No. 1 Longhorns' last game before SEC Conference play starts on Sept. 28. Ahead of the game, fans can see country legend Tanya Tucker for free at Longhorn City Limits.
When: Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
Where: Darrel K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, located at 2139 San Jacinto Blvd.
Kalahari Food & (Not Just) Wine Festival
The Kalahari Food & (Not Just) Wine Festival is back this Sunday, showcasing the best of the resort's dining; wine, beer and spirits; shopping; cooking demos; live music; and more.
Organizers say this year's theme is "Peace & Love," so attendees should "get ready to boogie" as they experience good vibes and retro-inspired fun.
When: Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
Where: Kalahari Resorts and Conventions, located at 3001 Kalahari Blvd. in Round Rock
Austin Museum Day
This Sunday, you can get into more than 30 Austin-area museums for free as part of the 27th Annual Austin Museum Day. The museums will welcome visitors with special programming, including guided and self-guided exhibition tours, activities and more.
