All types of badges and passes are still available, including the Camp Badge ($545), General Programming Badge ($335), TV Pass ($150) and Single Tickets (prices vary).
When: Thursday through Sunday
Where: Various venues in Downtown Austin
Pride Month events
It's almost Pride Month! While the city of Austin celebrates Pride in August, June is considered Pride Month nationwide. And there are several events scheduled for this weekend to get the festivities started!
Top Drawer Thrift Shop, Eastside Pop Up and The Little Gay Shop are partnering for Pride POP from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Top Drawer's new location at 5312 Airport Blvd. The event will feature 15 local vendors and food from Donkey Mo's and Mesa Tacos.
Also on Saturday, Queerbomb will hold its annual march and rally at the Austin Garden & Studio at Inn Cahoots, located at 1209 E. Sixth St. Doors are at 4 p.m., followed by a resource fair at 5 p.m., a rally at 7 p.m., a march at sundown and live DJs and musicians all night until 2 a.m.
"The Rocky Horror Picture Show" screenings with O'Brien's Orchestra, Austin's own shadow cast, are kind-of always Pride events, but the special Pride show is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. Saturday at Southwest Theaters Lake Creek 7 (13729 Research Blvd. #1500). This event is for adults 18 years old and older, and tickets are available online.
Juneteenth, commemorating the ending of slavery of the U.S., isn't technically celebrated until June 19. But the Bullock Texas State History Museum is getting an early start with a Juneteenth-focused edition of its H-E-B Free First Sunday program.
Activities for Sunday's event include creating an art project with Galleries at Black Studies, learning about the Juneteenth flag and creating your own and interactive STEM demos and hands-on activities with Girlstart. At 10:30 a.m., poetic storyteller Oba William King will share traditional drumming, songs and stories about Juneteenth, and at 1 p.m., attendees can catch a screening of the documentary "Juneteenth: Faith and Freedom."
When: Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Bullock Texas State History Museum, located at 1800 Congress Ave.
