AUSTIN, Texas — Editor's note: Austin and Travis County leaders announced on March 6 that SXSW has been canceled.
South by Southwest announced its initial list of 2020 SXSW Comedy Festival participants and shows, including comedians and entertainers such as Pete Davidson, Hannibal Buress, Jon Daly, Yamaneika Saunders and others.
SXSW said, "The Comedy Festival endeavors to foster an environment where tomorrow’s most promising comedians can perform alongside and mingle with icons from the world of film and television."
The event will include diverse programming including stand-up, sketch, improv, podcast recordings, conversations and more, according to the festival.
Part of the program includes a benefit show for the Friends of Firefighters foundation hosted by Judd Apatow.
