10 Valentine's Day events for every type of couple and person

KVUE is here to help you figure out how to spend this Valentine's Day.

AUSTIN, Texas — Editor's note: The attached video is about Alamo Drafthouse supporting Australian wildfire relief through love letters.

Date planning can be hard, and with Valentine's Day just around the corner, we've compiled some fun activities for both happy couples and hopeful singles.

1. What says "I love you" more than axe throwing?

Spend your evening drinking a glass of sparkling wine, appreciating your partner and throwing axes during Urban Axes' Valentine's Day special.

Fifty dollars gets you an hour of axe throwing for two, a glass of sparkling wine and priceless memories. One-hour sessions for the special can be booked from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. this Valentine's Day.

The event is for ages 21 and up and it's "bring your own beverage" after the complimentary glass of wine.

2. Pretzels, beer and love, what more could you want?

For $150, you and your partner can spend the evening learning how to make soft pretzels at Easy Tiger's sixth annual Valentine's Date Night Pretzel Party.

Included with the ticket is an appetizer spread consisting of cheese, pretzels, beer cheese house mustard, assorted sausage and assorted bakery cookies, two drinks from the Beer Garden bar and a dozen baked pretzels to take home.

The event is taking place both on Valentine's Day and the day after, Feb. 15, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

3. Reverse the gender roles with a Sadie Hawkins dance

For those of you who missed their chance at school dances, here's another opportunity.

Hotel Vegas will be hosting their Annual Sadie Hawkins Valentine's Day Dance featuring music, a comedy show and kissing photo booth.

The early show starts at 8 p.m. and music starts at 10 p.m. going until 12 a.m.

4. Who needs love when you can have chocolate?

For those couples with a sweet tooth, indulge in some gourmet chocolate and wine at Delysia Chocolatier's Valentine's Day chocolate tasting.

The flavors, inspired by romance, include a strawberry brut chocolate truffle, spiced wine berry chocolate truffle and a tiramisu chocolate truffle.

The tasting only costs $20 and bookings are available from Feb. 14 through Feb. 16.
