Ribbon-cutting held for new H-E-B in Georgetown's Wolf Lakes Village

The 121,000-square-foot store on West University Avenue replaces an existing location on East University Avenue.

GEORGETOWN, Texas — Crews held a ribbon-cutting for a new H-E-B in Georgetown on Tuesday.

The new store is located in Georgetown's Wolf Lakes Village development, on West University Avenue near Interstate 35. The 121,000-square-foot store replaces an existing H-E-B located on East University Avenue.

The new store is twice the size of the old one and includes a car wash and fuel station, a pharmacy, a two-story True Texas BBQ restaurant and more.

Construction on the store started in April 2022, and a groundbreaking ceremony was held the following month.

“We are thrilled to bring a new H-E-B store to Georgetown, a growing community we’ve proudly been a part of for more than 55 years,” Cathy Harm, H-E-B Group Vice President Central Texas, said last May. “We look forward to serving this community with a larger store that offers a wide assortment of products and services and ensuring that our long-time customers continue to enjoy the best of what H-E-B has to offer.”

The store is set to open to the public on Wednesday, June 7, at 6 a.m. The Wolf Lakes Village H-E-B will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
