AUSTIN, Texas — It's almost time to hit the links, Austin!
Australian-based Funlab is bringing its mini-golf experience to East Austin later this year.
Holey Moley Golf Club was originally slated to replace Native, the former hostel and bar along East Fourth Street and Interstate 35, near the end of 2023. The venue is now slated to open in March and will be the first location in Texas.
The mini-golf concept opened its first U.S.-based location in Denver last year and has plans to expand to Houston and San Francisco in 2024.
Funlab said the Austin location will hold up to 500 people and feature three courses with 27 holes inspired by iconic moments and pop culture. It will also feature an outdoor space with a stage for live music, entertainment and dining, along with art from local graffiti artists.
If mini golf isn't your thing, Holey Moley will also have a private karaoke room for more than a dozen of your closest friends.
"Austin is a natural fit for our irreverent Holey Moley concept," said Blaise Witnish, Funlab USA CEO. "The city is a desired destination and full of vibrant energy. Austin plays host to major annual citywide events, is home to a thriving collegiate and business community, and its residents and visitors know how to have a good time."
The venue is expected to begin hiring ahead of its opening and interested applicants can apply through its careers page.
Holey Moley Golf Club will officially open in Austin at the end of March.
