Construction underway for new water treatment plant expansion in Pflugerville

The plant is expected to increase Pflugerville's drinking water system's capacity to meet demand.

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — Construction is underway for a new surface water treatment plant expansion in Pflugerville.

The plant is expected to increase Pflugerville's drinking water system's capacity to meet demand. The system is expected to deliver 30 million gallons per day of water.

This plant isn't the only project that will be happening in the city. In April, the Pflugerville City Council approved the construction project for a new 6 million gallon-a-day Wilbarger Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The wastewater facility will provide service needs as Pflugerville continues to grow. It is part of the City's strategic plan, which will help meet current and future needs.

The wastewater treatment plant is expected to break ground this summer.
