AUSTIN, Texas — Swimmers, rejoice! Deep Eddy Pool is back open, just in time for spring break.
Deep Eddy had been closed since Jan. 8 for maintenance improvements, including upgraded deck lighting and replacing a damaged bulkhead. The city said the project was made possible in part by funding from the Austin Parks Foundation.
Deep Eddy's lap pool reopened for normal operating hours on Monday, March 11, and the shallow side will be open for recreational swim on Tuesday, March 12.
Typically, Deep Eddy is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for lap swim and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for recreational swim.
The pool is usually closed the first Tuesday of every month as well for scheduled maintenance.
