AUSTIN, Texas — Williamson County investigators seized more than 1,000 suspected fentanyl pills, as well as several other types of suspected drugs, from a home in Austin last week.
The Williamson County Sheriff's Office said in August, its Organized Crime Unit (OCU) responded to an overdose in Round Rock. The investigation into that incident then led the OCU to execute a search warrant on Sept. 12, at a residence in the 10000 block of West Parmer Lane in Austin.
During that search, OCU officers seized the following suspected items:
- 1,060 suspected fentanyl pills (1116.1 grams)
- 4,575 suspected methamphetamine pills (1100.55 grams)
- 213.9 grams of suspected promethazine
- 31 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms
- 46.27 ounces of suspected THC
- 19 pounds of suspected marijuana
- A stolen shotgun
- $13,700 in cash
- Cellphones
- Scales and baggies

The sheriff's office said this seizure is part of its commitment to fighting drug trafficking and ensuring that "anyone involved in selling fentanyl in Williamson County will be identified and arrested."
"The distribution of fentanyl and other dangerous substances will not be tolerated in Williamson County. We will use every resource at our disposal to identify, arrest, and bring to justice those responsible for endangering our community," Sheriff Mike Gleason said.
