Gov. Abbott announces $10K reward for information on Round Rock mass shooting

An unidentified shooter killed two people and injured 14 others during a Juneteenth event on Saturday, June 15, at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.

ROUND ROCK, Texas — There is now a total of up to $20,000 in reward money available for information on the mass shooting in Round Rock on Saturday.

Two women were killed and 14 others were injured in the shooting during a Juneteenth event on June 15 at Old Settlers Park. Police said the incident began when two groups of people started fighting with each other near the vendor area of the festival. At least one person then pulled a gun out and started shooting before leaving the scene.

On Tuesday morning, Gov. Greg Abbott announced that his office is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person or people responsible for the shooting.

"Cecilia and I are deeply saddened by the horrific tragedy this past weekend that took the lives of two innocent Texans and injured fourteen other victims at a Juneteenth celebration in Round Rock," Abbott said in a statement. "Texas is deploying our full support to local law enforcement to ensure those involved in this heinous crime are found and brought to justice."
