COVID-19 numbers:
- Texas: More than 1.3 million cases have been reported in the state, and more than 25,200 people in Texas have died, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services.
- Central Texas counties:
- Travis County: At least 45,492 cases have been reported and at least 516 people have died. At least 40,719 people have recovered from the virus.
- Hays County: At least 8,759 confirmed cases have been reported and at least 119 people have died. At least 7,378 people have recovered from the virus.
- Williamson County: At least 17,220 cases have been reported in the county and at least 187 people have died. At least 15,868 people have recovered from the virus.

Updates:
7:30 p.m. – Travis County reported 422 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Saturday, bringing the total to 45,492 cases and 516 deaths since the start of the pandemic. At least 40,719 people have recovered from the virus.
Travis County currently has 316 people hospitalized with COVID-19, with 84 in the ICU and 47 on ventilators.
6:45 p.m. – Top Capitol Hill negotiators sealed a deal Sunday on an almost $1 trillion COVID-19 economic relief package. The agreement, announced by congressional leaders, would establish a temporary $300 per week supplemental jobless benefit and a $600 direct stimulus payment to most Americans, along with a new round of subsidies for hard-hit businesses and money for schools, health care providers and renters facing eviction. 5:45 p.m. – Salvation Army workers told KVUE they're receiving a high volume of requests from families who are struggling to make ends meet this year due to the pandemic.
They're asking for monetary donations on their website from anyone who is able to help or is looking to lend a hand this holiday season.
