Fayette County sheriff's deputies arrested a woman Wednesday evening accused of possessing $1.2 million worth of cocaine inside two karaoke machines.
According to Sheriff Keith Korenek, a deputy and a Giddings police officer pulled a driver over on I-10 eastbound near the Flatonia exit for failing to maintain a single lane.
The deputy, a drug interdiction investigator, noticed the driver was nervous and then asked to search the 2012 Nissan Cube, the sheriff said.
Inside the vehicle, the deputy found two karaoke machines in plain view, which had 12 bundles spray-foamed into the two speakers. The bundles contained 12 kilos of cocaine with an estimated street value of $1.2 million.
Estrella Elizabeth Renteria, 39, of Laredo, was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
