Teen accused of killing Sonic manager now one of the most wanted fugitives in Texas

Officials have increased the reward for the 17-year-old, who is considered armed and dangerous.

AUSTIN, Texas — After expanding the search for a 17-year-old accused of murder, the teen is now one of the most wanted fugitives in Texas.

More than two months after Adiah Roberson allegedly killed a Sonic manager in San Antonio, the Texas Department of Public Safety added her to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list.

Recently, it was revealed that Roberson could be in Austin after officials said she continues to elude law enforcement following an arrest warrant.

Roberson is wanted for the murder of Daniel Shrewsbury, who was shot to death during a disturbance in July. She's also accused of forgery.

Shrewsbury covered the overnight shift and was killed one week before his 34th birthday. Authorities said he had just arrived at work when he learned Roberson had allegedly taken about $100 from a tip cup.

When Shrewsbury went to take pictures of the suspect vehicle's license plate, police say Adiah got out of the vehicle and shot Shrewsbury in the chest. He made it inside before collapsing, where he eventually died.

Roberson is one of the three suspects in the case. Authorities say she's 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 100 pounds. She also has piercings on her nose, upper and lower lips, face and eyebrows.

An increased reward of up to $5,000 is available for information leading to her arrest. Authorities consider Roberson to be armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts can contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS or submit a tip through Facebook or the DPS website.
