Damaged Rosemont at Oak Valley units now repaired, strategic housing board says

The nonprofit arm of Travis County said February's winter storm damaged dozens of units. Now, residents can move back into 39 units by Jan. 15.

AUSTIN, Texas — Crews are finished repairing dozens of affordable housing units in southeast Austin that were damaged from February's winter storms.

That was the announcement coming out of the Strategic Housing Finance Corporation board meeting Thursday morning.

Executive Director Patrick Howard said 39 units at Rosemont at Oak Valley will be ready for occupancy by Jan. 15. Howard said repairs to those units are now complete.

In July, 87 families received letters to vacate their apartments so crews could make repairs.

More than 40 families were relocated so renovations could be made.
