Round Rock police respond to bomb threat at house, second night in a row

Neighboring homes have again been evacuated. Police said Tuesday night's object turned out to be a hoax.

ROUND ROCK, Texas — The Round Rock Police Department is investigating a reported bomb threat at the same house officers responded to the night before.

On Wednesday, officers were called to the scene in the 2100 block of Jasmine Path around 9:15 p.m. Officers responded to a bomb threat at the same location around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Austin Police Department bomb squad is assisting, RRPD said.

Neighboring houses have again been evacuated as a precaution.

Police said Tuesday night’s object turned out to be a hoax.

“For the safety of all involved, officers treat every threat as credible until proven otherwise,” RRPD said.
