Police, U.S. Marshals respond to scene at McDonald's in Round Rock Friday

AUSTIN, Texas — Editor's note: In an update, authorities say a person was killed by the US Marshals on Friday in Round Rock. The original story continues below.

Round Rock police and U.S. Marshals responded to a scene at a McDonald's located on East Palm Valley Boulevard near North A.W. Grimes Boulevard Friday night.

U.S. Marshals cleared the scene at 4:30 a.m. Saturday. The Round Rock Police Department shared on social media that it was called to assist the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force after the incident occurred and that no officers with the department were involved.

It is currently unclear what prompted law enforcement to respond to the scene.
